What counts as an "operation" against my daily limit?

Every SQL/KV/Document/Vector/Graph/TimeSeries read or write, and every GraphQL or ML inference call, counts as one operation -- enforced server-side on every request path (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and the PostgreSQL wire protocol), not just in the UI. Failed operations are never counted.

What happens when I hit a plan limit?

Database, storage, and daily-operation limits are enforced in the real request path and return a clear error explaining which limit was hit and how to upgrade. You are never silently throttled.

Can I self-host entropyDB for free?

Yes -- Community is the open-source, self-hosted edition. It includes every core capability (all six data models, all four protocols, every SDK, cross-model transactions) unlimited, since you manage your own infrastructure, storage, and backups.

Is there a free trial for hosted plans?

Every new hosted signup starts a free Developer-tier trial. No credit card is charged until you complete checkout for a paid plan.

How do upgrades and downgrades work?

Upgrades to a paid tier are only ever applied after a verified payment (Cashfree checkout). You can self-service downgrade to any lower tier at any time from your account billing page; cancellation keeps your current plan active until the end of the paid period.
